Mamie – Street food of Italy

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I was supposed to write this review later. But it was so good I had to write it now. It’s located in West Hollywood, facing the mountains of LA. They serve Florence style sandwiches using fresh ingredients from local markets and meats+cheeses directly sourced from Italy.

They have a modern feel to them, a clear menu and a nice staff that helps the ordering process move smoothly. They’re known for their house made Tuscan Focaccia bread, a recipe from their founders experience from bread making in Paris.

Their best sellers include their Di Parma(Prosciutto Di Parma, Burrata, Pesto, Truffled Cream, Chopped Pistachio and baby arugula), and the Diva(Mortadella, Straciatella, Chopped Pistachio, Balsamic Glaze and baby arugula).

The “Diva”

We ordered their Diva and their Rimini(Porchetta, Crema Di Gargonola, Truffled Cream, Spicy Roasted Eggplant, and baby arugula).

The “Rimini”

We recommend getting their favorites in their Diva and Di Parma as they carry more overall flavor and flavors that complement their meats. It is quite obvious based off the quality that their meats and cheeses are imported with regularity from Italy. Unfortunately, it is obvious that their greens and other ingredients aren’t the highest of flavor or don’t complement each sandwich in an extremely positive light. The sandwiches are great and go together really well, but if their was an Achilles heal for Mamie, it’s that their other ingredients(roasted eggplant, baby arugula etc) don’t go with the rest of their sandwiches flavor profiles.

Overall, judging based off the customer service, dining experience and food quality, we give Mamie street food of Italy a:
