Papaya King – Est. 1932

Known for their salty sweet duo, the iconic hot dog snapper paired with their Papaya Juice is one of the best duos in all of food. This Icon of the city features an iconic of a hot winger snapper and tropical fruit juice. Originally known as Hawaiian Tropical Drinks, it was founded in 1932 by Constantine “Gus” Poulos who loved papaya juice so much that he decided to found a juice stand that sold Papaya juice. He was later asked by a customer if they served anything else, which he replied saying he could sell him some hot dogs he had been grilling, and the rest is history.

Their original combo comes with a two hot dogs with onions or relish, along with a 16oz of fruit juice(typically papaya juice).

Their current juice assortments include Mango, Coconut Champagne, Piña Colada, Banana Dough and their iconic Papaya drink.

Due to Its long lasting history and their salt and vinegar snapping wiener being the perfect partner to the sweet and smooth papaya drink. It makes them the absolute perfect grab and go lunch spot in the city. We rate them:
